Thank you for your past participation in the Alliance for Childhood Cancer Action Days. We hope you are holding up well under the current circumstances.
In light of the coronavirus pandemic, we are freezing registration for Action Days at this time. We will make a final decision about holding an in-person Action Days by April 17. Should we choose to cancel the in-person event, we will plan to hold a virtual event in June instead.
Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and understanding in these trying times. No matter the format, we are going to have a great Action Days this year. Please do not hesitate to reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
Mark Your Calendar for June 9-10, 2020
You’re invited to join the Alliance for Childhood Cancer for the 9th Annual Childhood Cancer Action Days. This two-day event in Washington brings our community together to advocate for important childhood cancer issues currently before Congress.
Your Voice Matters
We are at a critical point on several key policy issues for children with cancer, and we need a strong showing of advocates at Action Days 2020. Sharing your story in Washington this spring will ensure the voice of children with cancer is heard loud and clear!
The Alliance for Childhood Cancer can offer a limited number of assistance scholarships for advocates traveling from certain congressional districts. Scholarships will be applied towards rooming costs at the Washington Marriott at Metro Center. Please follow the link below to apply by Friday, May 8th. Applying early is strongly encouraged.
- Tuesday, June 9th
- Issues and Advocacy Training at the Washington Marriott at Metro Center (775 12th Street NW, Washington, DC 20005)
- Wednesday, June 10th
- Kick-Off and pre-arranged meetings with Members of Congress and their staff on Capitol Hill
Registration is Now Open. A registration fee of $50 per family will help cover training materials, breakfast and lunch on June 9th, and breakfast on June 10th before we begin our Congressional meetings. A limited number of scholarships will be available. Transportation to/from Childhood Cancer Action Days is the responsibility of those attending.

Faces of Childhood Cancer Project
Calling all childhood cancer families! As members of the childhood cancer community, we want our legislators to recognize that childhood cancer goes beyond statistics by showing them the faces of our children. Our children are more than just the cancer they experience. We have created the Faces of Childhood Cancer Project to share their stories with legislators at upcoming advocacy meetings on Capitol Hill. It’s a fun and meaningful activity that you can do from home!
These documents are only used for this purpose.
This year we have two ways in which you can submit-
1. We have created a form you can fill out and upload photos- we will format for you and create the one page document we need to submit to legislators.
Click here for a few general guidelines on creating your own project.
