Action Days 2020

Thank you for your past participation in the Alliance for Childhood Cancer Action Days. We hope you are holding up well under the current circumstances.

In light of the coronavirus pandemic, we are freezing registration for Action Days at this time. We will make a final decision about holding an in-person Action Days by April 17. Should we choose to cancel the in-person event, we will plan to hold a virtual event in June instead.

Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and understanding in these trying times. No matter the format, we are going to have a great Action Days this year. Please do not hesitate to reach out to alliance@asco.org with any questions.

Mark Your Calendar for June 9-10, 2020

You’re invited to join the Alliance for Childhood Cancer for the 9th Annual Childhood Cancer Action Days. This two-day event in Washington brings our community together to advocate for important childhood cancer issues currently before Congress.

Your Voice Matters

We are at a critical point on several key policy issues for children with cancer, and we need a strong showing of advocates at Action Days 2020. Sharing your story in Washington this spring will ensure the voice of children with cancer is heard loud and clear!

Faces of Childhood Cancer Project

Calling all childhood cancer families! As members of the childhood cancer community, we want our legislators to recognize that childhood cancer goes beyond statistics by showing them the faces of our children. Our children are more than just the cancer they experience. We have created the Faces of Childhood Cancer Project to share their stories with legislators at upcoming advocacy meetings on Capitol Hill. It’s a fun and meaningful activity that you can do from home!

These documents are only used for this purpose.

This year we have two ways in which you can submit-

1. We have created a form you can fill out and upload photos- we will format for you and create the one page document we need to submit to legislators.

2. Create your own (this option is available only to those who will attend Action Days 2020 in-person): Click here to see a sample Faces of Childhood Cancer project. Click here for a blank template.
